SE Ambassador Houda Nonoo is currently Ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). She has served as the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Washington, DC, and the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico. Before joining MoFA, she was appointed to the Shura Council by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, where she served on the Finance and Economics Committee between 2006 and 2008.

She is a member of the King Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAIICID), board member of the American Chamber of Commerce, founding member of the Bahrain Association for Child Safety (BACS), founding member of the Bahrain Human Rights Watch Society (BHRWS), where she also served as Secretary General from 2005 to 2008. Ambassador Houda Nonoo heads the Advisory and International Committee of the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of the House of Ten Commandments (the Jewish community in Bahrain) and a board member of the Association of Gulf Jewish Communities.
