The official Turkish language test, TOMER, administered by public universities, is a prerequisite for admission to the country’s higher education institutions. Through the ILA Turkey partnership, students can obtain certification from Gazi University.
“Interest in Turkiye and Turkish universities has increased continuously in recent years,” says ILA Turkey.
With 48,000 international students enrolled in the country in 2014, the numbers have increased to 125,000 students in 2018.
“This number has risen to 224,000 international students from over 150 different countries, despite the fact that there has been a huge Covid effect around the world,” noted the company’s co-founder and director Tarkan Ulas.
At least 165,000 students in over 178 countries have applied for full government-funded scholarships under the Turkiye Burslari program in 2021, he added.
The partnership with Turkey‘s sixth-best university is the first type of public-private partnership agreement in Turkey, added Ulas.
Through its sister company Turkishuniversities.Org, ILA Turkey works with 53 private and seven public universities. In 2021, the platform announced a partnership with agency platform Agency Management System.
“We also have representatives in 37 different countries and our goal is to teach in over 40 countries to promote our programs and collaborate with Turkish universities,” continued Ulas.
“For the summer of 2022, we will also hold the first junior summer camp at the Nisantasi NeoTech campus in Istanbul.”
As part of SDM Language School, ILA Turkey has been offering English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Turkish courses since 1994. It is also a testing center for the Pearson PTE test.
