TWRA and NWTF Turkey Hunt Class Introductions will be held on March 19th


TWRA and the Three Rivers Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation are hosting an introductory turkey hunt Saturday, March 19 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the TWRA Regional Office in Morristown.

The course will provide participants with knowledge and skills to help them harvest a bearded turkey this spring. Topics covered include turkey history, identification, basic biology, exploration, localization of feeders, equipment, strategies, calling and more. Participants also get the opportunity to learn and practice calling with experienced turkey hunters. After the classroom training, participants are invited to demo their shotguns at the Morristown Trap Range opposite the TWRA office.
