Hassan Ghabbash was arrested in the Beqaa region of east Lebanon on Sunday while he was reportedly trying to flee Lebanon to Syria.
Lebanese police have arrested a second suspect in the horrific murder of a mother and her three daughters, whose bodies were discovered on Friday in a southern Lebanon town.
Authorities named the first suspect as Hussein Fayyad and the second as a Syrian national, Hassan Ghabbash.
Ghabbash was arrested in the Beqaa region of east Lebanon on Sunday, according to a military source who spoke to him The new Arabs Arabic-language service allegedly while trying to flee the country to Syria.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the smuggler who helped Ghabbash was also arrested by the military on Monday morning.
The murder of Basma Abbas and her three daughters Tala (22), Rima (20) and 16-year-old Manal has shaken Lebanon.
The Lebanese Women’s Rights Commission released a statement on Monday condemning “the atrocious crime that claimed the lives of a mother and her three daughters, which was prepared in cold blood.”
