Inmarsat launches new BGAN connectivity solution in the Middle East

Inmarsat has also presented a new connectivity solution Hytera, Global Beam Telecom and Cobham Satcom to serve companies in the Middle East. Inmarsat announced the BGAN PRISM PTT+ push-to-talk (PTT) offering on June 28. Now available via Hytera cellular devices, this satellite-based connectivity solution aims to help businesses overcome coverage redundancy and downtime associated with traditional wireless systems.

This new unified network solution combines satellite connectivity, radio systems (LMR/DMR) and cellular devices (3G/LTE). Inmarsat hopes that this solution will transform the customer experience in three key areas: coverage, interoperability and performance. The company believes that the integration of satellite coverage will provide exceptional network stability, enabling seamless switching between radio and satellite while maintaining constant coverage anywhere in the world.
